Description
Cloisonne ornaments are hand made by first starting with a copper base then adding metal borders in the desired shape such as the stars on the red, white and blue. Once the design has been finished, liquid colored glass is added and the balloon is then fired in a 1400 degree fahrenheit oven to fuse the glass to the copper. 5" tall With the changes in labor laws in China, these small pieces will be a thing of the past, they are too expensive to make any longer. The only place in the world these are made is outside Beijing, the process was developed by the french during the Ming Dynasty. 8 DESIGNS AVAILABLE
